Wampum Triangle with Abalone Accent
Wampum Triangle with Abalone Accent
Hand-shaped from bold 1” Quahog shell beads, it celebrates the natural richness of the Atlantic coast, while a single rare abalone bead adds a luminous accent of iridescent beauty. Measuring 7.5” in length, it is designed to grace the wrist like a crown — a piece truly made for a Queen.
Each bead is carefully selected and shaped by hand, honoring the art of slow craftsmanship and the timeless allure of ocean-forged materials. This bracelet is a tribute to coastal tradition, where every shell carries a story, and every detail reflects the spirit of the sea. Bold, radiant, and one-of-a-kind — this is ocean-inspired luxury at its finest.
About the Artist:
Martha Lucia Nunez has spent a lifetime on the waters of Cape Cod’s Nantucket Sound, holding a commercial shellfishing license for 47 years. She has made her living dragging for quahogs, mastering the tides and techniques that define this demanding trade. With a deep respect for the ocean, she harvests shellfish and repurposes their shells in her designs. Honoring native craftsmanship, she cuts, polishes, and drills each piece by hand. Her work is a reflection of her fishing heritage, shaped by decades of experience on the water. Through her travels across the world’s oceans, she has collected rare shells—Conch, Abalone, Giant Clam, and Great Green Turban—incorporating them into her distinctive creations.
